And so, the story continues...The story of the next coming of Night of 1000 Goddesses begins where it left off. 2006's Night of 1000 Goddesses was both a critical and financial success, bringing a small dream to the stage. Last year's 1000 Goddesses continued this dream, bringing more bright and beautiful talent from across the country....

Zan Asha's idea for 1000 Goddesses culminated after years in the arts. After a theater degree, a minor career in fine arts, Radio DJ experience, and
her theater background, the ideas of creating stories through dance constantly crept into her dance stylings, and choreography.

After initial forays into traditional/Egyptian dance, she gradually allowed for the fusion to overtake her choreographing. After 7 years of choreographing and teaching these ideas, she was ready to bring these ideas to the STAGE.
Night of 1000 Goddesses was originally born from the idea of creating theater that brought bellydance to a higher artistic level. Much of this lay in creating dance around specific visual themes; the basic premise was that the dancer had to dance a "description" to a specific word given. A vignette of these dances would then be showcased at the dance party.

The word that most intrigued dancers? The word Goddess. The varied dances showcased so much emotion, variation, power, and creativity....the dancers gracing the show brought so much emotional integrity, that a second calling was inevitable...

SEPTEMBER 2008, the THIRD year in the coming of Goddesses...
