~ NYC Elisheva and Kittarina have joined
together to create"Uyum Dans," the newest Bellydance
fusion duo to hit New York. Having come from a long road of
cabaret performing, these two dancers found each other through
their need for spiritual exploration and a thirst to
incorporate their many influences into their current dance art.
Using dance movement with theatrical expression they have created
a vocabulary of movement that inspires audiences. Kittarina's
tribal influences and Elisheva's modern dance training are seamlessly
blended throughout familiar middle eastern movements, allowing
an expression of dance that is personal and dynamic. Elisheva

The
maidens of darker and unorthodox Middle Eastern based dance
were the original idea of Zan Asha. For more info on ChoveXani,
With
the idea of creating a feeling of ancient and mysterious landscape
through dance, ChoveXani's members convened from darker, pagan
and/or ethnic backgrounds suitable for the troupe. With a
emphasis on ethnic dance, ChoveXani eventually expanded to
create it's own dance choreography, and strove to embrace
a more theatrical scope. This includes events organization
and artist collaborations. Most notable of these: the first
ever New York City experimental showcase (Urban Oasis, 2004),
monthly featured Experimental Gothic Showcase (Shadows of
the Harem, 2006), and the upcoming Halloween Extravaganza:
"VictOrient: Tales of the Macabaret."
