Eastwinds Tribal Drumming perform the traditional rhythms of the Middle-East and of North and West Africa on ethnic percussion instruments for "belly-dance" classes and performances. The Eastwinds philosophy embraces existing rhythms and encourages improvisation and the layering of rhythms into a fusion style that is ideal for American Tribal Style and Gothic Bellydance. We take pride in our reputation as "dancer-friendly" musicians. We are also teachers and enjoy offering historical information on this beautiful art form during our performances, demos and workshops.

Eastwinds Tribal Drumming has been playing for dance for over a decade. Jeff Webb has a background as a working jazz drummer since the late 1960's and is currently the lead djembe player for a NY based West African dance company. Casey Bond is the "heartbeat" of Eastwinds Tribal Drumming. She is featured on the first Eastwinds CD, "Enter the Heart of the Circle." Both she and Jeff continue to hone their skills as Middle-Eastern percussionists with ongoing drum classes with such notable musicians as Raquy Danziger, Amir Naoum and Karim Nagy.

Our services are provided at a reasonable fee, but we are always eager to chat, exchange ideas and rhythms with other like-minded lovers of drumming.
